TN Visa – Occupational Therapist
NAFTA Requirements for TN Visa as an Occupational Therapist.
To qualify for TN visa status under NAFTA as an Occupational Therapist, an applicant must possess one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Licenciatura Degree; or
- State / provincial license.
The term “state/provincial license” is defined as “any document issued by a state, provincial, or federal government, as the case may be, or under its authority, but not by a local government, that permits a person to engage in a regulated activity or profession.” See 8 C.F.R. § 214.6 (c) and n.2.
Health Care Worker Certificate (Visa Screen) Requirement.
Individuals applying for TN visa status under the Occupational Therapist category may have to obtain a Health Care Worker (Visa Screen) certificate before they are able to obtain TN visa status.
