HR Bill Proposes Additional Immigrant Visa Numbers for Nurses

On April 29, 2008, Representative Robert Wexler introduced a final bill into the House of Representatives, the Emergency Nursing Supply Relief Act (H.R.5924), which would provide 20,000 immigrant visas per year for Nurses whom have filed Schedule A, Group I green card applications. The bill also proposes an expedited review of Schedule A petitions providing a processing time of 30 days from the date of filing. Stay tuned for updates on HR 5924.
