    USCIS has adopted a rule that removes the requirement that an applicant for a TN must present a license at the time of application for admission to the United States.

  • Health Care Worker Certificate Requirement

    A foreign citizen who seeks admission to the United States for the primary purpose of performing labor as a health care worker, other than a physician, is inadmissible to the U.S. unless he or she presents a Health Care Worker certificate. Four TN visa categories are subject to this rule.
  • Training, School, and Part-Time Work as TN

    May obtain TN status to engage in training in one of the TN occupational categories; may attend school if incidental to work; or work in U.S. under part-time basis.

  • Restrictions While in Nonimmigrant TN Status

    Be mindful of the limitations to non-immigrant status. Work authorization is employer specific. Need to depart the U.S. once TN status expires.
